Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MG Player (“the App”), developed by Studio Trend, accesses, uses, and handles information when you use the application.
By using MG Player, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please discontinue use of the features concerned.
1. Developer Information
App name: MG Player
Developer: Studio Trend
Privacy contact: support@studiotrend.tech
2. Information and Permissions
2.1 Local Videos and Media Files
MG Player allows users to browse and play supported video files available on their devices. Depending on the Android version and the permissions granted, the App may access media files that the user chooses to browse or play.
The App may use locally stored information to support features such as playlists, favorites, and playback preferences. The intended function of the App does not require users to create an account or upload their local video files to Studio Trend servers.
Media access and storage behavior may vary depending on the device, operating system, and App implementation.
2.2 Playlists and Favorites
Information used for playlists and favorites may be stored on the user's device to provide these features. This information may be lost if the user clears the App's data, uninstalls the App, or resets the device, depending on the storage method used.
2.3 Playing Videos from External URLs
MG Player allows users to enter an external video URL manually and use it to play a video. When the user chooses to open a URL, the App may connect to the server hosting the video to retrieve the requested content.
The external server or hosting provider may receive connection information, such as the device's IP address, request information, and technical data needed to deliver the video. The provider's own privacy policy and practices govern its handling of that information.
Studio Trend does not operate these external video servers. Users should only open links from sources they trust and should avoid entering sensitive information into untrusted URLs.
2.4 QR Code Scanner and Camera Access
MG Player uses the device camera when the user activates the QR code scanning feature. The App uses the mobile_scanner Flutter package, or the applicable scanner implementation included in the installed version, to detect QR codes.
A scanned code may contain a URL or other text. The App uses the scan result to perform the action requested by the user, such as entering or opening a video URL.
The camera permission is needed for camera-based scanning. Camera frames and scan results are handled according to the scanner configuration and the App's actual implementation. This Policy does not claim that camera images are never processed, stored, or transmitted unless that behavior has been verified in the code and included libraries.
Users can manage camera permissions through Android settings. If camera access is denied, QR scanning may not work; manual URL entry may remain available.
3. Advertising
MG Player may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Ad-serving technology may process certain information, depending on the SDK configuration, consent settings, device settings, and applicable Google policies.
This information may include device identifiers or advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and information used for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, fraud prevention, or personalization where permitted.
Google and its advertising services process information according to their applicable privacy policies and settings. For more information, please review:
4. Firebase Analytics and Crash Reporting
The App may use Firebase services, including Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, to understand App usage, diagnose technical issues, and improve stability, if these services are enabled in the installed version.
Depending on the services enabled and their configuration, information may include app events, technical device information, app version, diagnostic logs, crash reports, and identifiers used by the relevant services.
These services are provided by Google and process information under Google's applicable terms and privacy documentation:
5. How Information Is Used
Information accessed or processed by the App and its integrated services may be used to:
- Play videos and provide the App's requested features.
- Maintain playlists, favorites, and playback preferences.
- Scan QR codes and use scan results as requested by the user.
- Display and measure advertisements.
- Understand App usage, detect crashes, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
6. Information Sharing
Studio Trend does not intend to sell users' personal information. Information may be processed or shared as necessary with integrated service providers, such as Google AdMob and Firebase, for the purposes described in this Policy and according to the configuration of the App.
When a user chooses to play a video from an external URL, the external video provider may receive the connection information needed to deliver that content.
Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and rights of users, the App, or its developer.
7. Data Storage and Retention
Playlists, favorites, and related preferences may be stored locally on the device. Advertising and analytics providers may retain information according to their own policies, settings, and retention periods.
Studio Trend does not provide a user account system in the intended App functionality described here. Information handled by third-party services may be subject to those providers' retention and deletion procedures.
Because the exact data storage behavior depends on the App version and its configuration, users should contact the developer with questions about a specific data-handling practice.
8. Data Security
Reasonable measures should be used to protect information processed by the App and its service providers. However, no application, device, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should keep their devices updated and avoid opening suspicious video URLs or QR codes from untrusted sources.
9. Children's Privacy
MG Player is not intended to knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If the App is distributed to children or is directed to children, additional requirements and safeguards may apply. The developer must ensure that the App, advertising configuration, and data practices comply with applicable laws and Google Play policies.
10. User Choices and Permissions
Users can manage camera and media permissions through their device settings, where supported. Users may also adjust available advertising privacy settings through Google or their device settings.
Disabling a permission or service may limit some App features. For questions about information handled by Studio Trend, please contact the address below.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the App, its integrated services, or applicable requirements. The latest version will be published on this page, with the updated date shown at the top.
